Times Appoints VP for Public Affairs

Gisselle Acevedo-Franco has been appointed vice president of public affairs at the Los Angeles Times, a unit of Tribune Co. She will be responsible for The Times’ public affairs activities, including civic engagement, Reading by 9 and corporate philanthropy. Acevedo-Franco has been executive director, corporate communications and public affairs, for AT&T; Broadband in Southern California since 1997.
