Young Withdraws From Tennessee, May Return

Courtney Young, a 5-foot-11 All-American guard at Ventura Buena High last season, has withdrawn from Tennessee for personal reasons, the university announced Tuesday.
Young, who averaged 19.3 points, 7.8 rebounds and 4.4 assists during her high school career, was part of a freshman class of five standout players, including Loree Moore of Harbor City Narbonne. Coach Pat Summitt said Young talked about returning to Tennessee.
“I support Courtney’s decision and I look forward to her future return to [Tennessee],” Summitt said.
