Whate Are You Drinking?

Steve Beckmen, Beckmen Vineyards: “One of the more memorable bottles of wine I’ve had recently was the ’97 Babcock Vineyards Pinot Noir ‘Grand Cuvee.’ My wife and I had bought some at an auction. This was the second bottle we opened. It was a big, powerful extracted Pinot with wonderful acidity to balance it out and add finesse to all the power. It seems like every time we open a new bottle it keeps getting better and better. It’s really aging well.”
