35 Speedboats Expected at Offshore Grand Prix

More than 35 high-powered speedboats are expected to compete in the 14th annual Ventura Offshore Powerboat Grand Prix at Ventura Harbor next weekend.
Events will begin Saturday when the boats will be on display. There will be live entertainment, vendors and other boat displays on both Saturday and Sunday at Ventura Harbor Village.
Races will be held next Sunday beginning at 11:15 a.m. The boats will parade out of Ventura Harbor to the seven-mile course, which will follow the coastline from the harbor to Ventura Pier.
Admission to the speedboat viewing area at the harbor is $2 for adults, free for children 12 and younger. For more information, call (877) 894-2726.
