Update--The Nets’ 7-1 start was the best in franchise history, but they lost two in a row before winning in overtime Wednesday at Utah. Point guard Jason Kidd, acquired during the off-season from the Phoenix Suns, has been a nice fit. He was averaging 12.1 points, 9.9 assists and 7.1 rebounds going into Wednesday. The Clippers haven’t lost consecutive games since dropping their first two of the season to San Antonio and Houston.
