Danielpour to Host2 Free Events Before ‘Requiem’ Premiere

The Pacific Symphony will sponsor two free events about the writing of Richard Danielpour’s new “An American Requiem,” which premieres Wednesday and Thursday at the Orange County Performing Arts Center in Costa Mesa.
Both events will take place at the Westin South Coast Plaza, 686 Anton Blvd., Costa Mesa.
On Sunday at 6 p.m. in the Mesa Verde Room, the composer and a panel of veterans will share stories that inspired the work.
On Tuesday at 4 p.m. in the San Diego Room, Danielpour and poets Michael Harper and Kim Vaeth (the text editor for the work) will discuss how poets and composers can collaborate.
