Islanders Fall to Red Wings, 2-1

Kris Draper scored both goals and Chris Osgood lost for the second time to his old team in a 2-1 Red Wings’ win over the New York Islanders on Friday at Detroit.
Detroit improved to 12-2-0-0 while the Islanders lost their first game of the season in regulation to fall to 9-1-1-1.
The Red Wings defeated the Islanders, 5-4, in overtime on Oct. 13.
Minnesota 4, Colorado 2--Andrew Brunette and Jim Dowd scored power-play goals as the Wild won at St. Paul, Minn.
Dallas 3, Nashville 0--Mike Modano broke a seven-game drought with two goals and Ed Belfour made 16 saves for his 58th career shutout as the Stars won at Dallas.
Buffalo 4, Tampa Bay 1--Miroslav Satan scored twice as the Sabres broke a three-game losing streak by defeating the Lightning at Buffalo, N.Y.
Carolina 3, New York Rangers 2--Sami Kapanen scored two goals and Arturs Irbe stopped 32 shots as the Hurricanes won at Raleigh, N.C.
Washington 2, Phoenix 2--Ulf Dahlen scored on the rebound of a Jeff Halpern shot with 1:11 left in regulation to give the Capitals the overtime tie at Washington.
Columbus 2, Edmonton 1--Marc Denis made 31 saves as the Blue Jackets ended a six-game losing streak with a victory at Edmonton, Canada.

Dallas Stars’ center Pierre Turgeon was put on injured reserve because of a sprained ankle and will miss two to four weeks. ... The NHL and Canadian networks CBC and TSN reached a five-year agreement, ensuring that regular-season and playoff games will be televised in Canada through the 2006-07 season.
