Six members of the Cal Lutheran baseball team have been selected to the All-Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference team.
The Kingsmen (27-13), SCIAC champions for the ninth time in 10 years, will play Cal State Hayward on Thursday at 7 p.m. at Chapman in the opening round of the NCAA Division III West Regionls.
Senior Scott Courneya (6-2, 3.89 ERA), among three first-team pitchers, is expected to start against Hayward.
Catcher Taylor Slimak, infielders Jeff Meyers and Ryan Yoshiwara, and outfielders Aaron Dixon and Steve Maitland also were first-team selections.
