Driver Hurt as Truck Flips and Closes Road

An overturned truck shut down Laguna Canyon Road in both directions for more than an hour Monday night, authorities said.
The driver was injured, but authorities did not know immediately how seriously, said Officer Katrina Lundgren of the California Highway Patrol. Investigators did not release the driver’s name or age.
Though officers initially thought the vehicle was carrying a passenger who was ejected into a lake, authorities later determined that the driver was alone when he veered off Laguna Canyon Road between the San Joaquin Hills Transportation Corridor and the San Diego Freeway.
