With 7 Wins, KTTV Is No. 1 at the L.A. Emmys

KTTV-TV led the pack with seven awards at the 53rd Los Angeles Area Emmy Awards, presented Saturday by the Academy of Television Arts & Sciences at the Pasadena Civic Auditorium.
The Fox affiliate’s awards included regularly scheduled daytime newscast for “Good Day L.A.,” the news special category for “L.A. Riots: From This Day Forward” and in the crime/social issues category for “Black & Brown: When Colors Collide.” The station’s Abe Rosenberg also won the newswriter honor.
Emmy wins by station included KCAL and KCOP with six each; NBC 4 with five; KTLA, four; and ABC 7, CBS 2 and KCET with three each.
A one-hour show featuring highlights of the ceremony event will be broadcast on KCOP Channel 13 on July 14 at 11 p.m.
