Prices for Gasoline Easing at the Pumps

Retail gasoline prices continue to ease in California and across the nation, the Energy Information Administration said.
California motorists paid an average of $1.929 per gallon for self-serve regular gasoline, down 1.7 cents from the week before, while the average price nationwide was $1.601 per gallon, down 4.6 cents per gallon, the EIA said, based on a weekly survey of 900 retail gasoline stations.
Among major cities surveyed, San Francisco had the highest price at $2.01 per gallon, down 2.1 cents, and Houston had the lowest at $1.51, down 1.9 cents. In Los Angeles, the average pump price was $1.938, down 1.4 cents.
