LYNN HAVEN, Fla. — Fallen TV evangelist Jim Bakker hopes to open a camp next year for inner-city youth in the rural Florida Panhandle, where he now lives.
Bakker, 61, and second wife Lori Graham Bakker recently moved to Sunny Hills in neighboring Washington County and were given land nearby for the camp. The program would host street youths from an Atlanta ministry led by Jay Bakker, his son with former wife Tammy.
Bakker served five years in federal prison after being convicted in 1989 of defrauding supporters of $158 million.
