DALLAS — A man suspected of killing young women for years in Ciudad Juarez, Mexico, just across the border from El Paso, Texas, was arrested in Dallas on Thursday.
“He’s a suspect in multiple sexual assaults, murders and possible dismemberments,” sheriff’s investigator Don Peritz Jr. said.
The man, Jose Juarez Rosales, 24, was arrested on an unrelated charge, Peritz said.
Officials of the Mexican attorney general’s office in San Antonio notified authorities that a man named in a 1996 arrest warrant for rape, murder and kidnapping might be living in Dallas. Juarez Rosales’ fingerprints matched those of the wanted man, Peritz said.
