Indiana Blows 20-Point Lead, Then Wins in Overtime

Kirk Haston made a three-point shot with 3.9 seconds remaining in regulation, then scored seven of his 29 points in overtime for Indiana in an 85-78 victory over Penn State on Saturday at State College, Pa.
Indiana, 14-9 and 5-4 in the Big Ten, went scoreless for six minutes late in the second half and blew a 20-point lead. Penn State (13-7, 3-6) took a 62-55 lead with 3:18 left, but Haston scored eight points in a 10-3 Hoosier run that sent the game into overtime.
Titus Ivory had 28 points for Penn State, which was coming off a victory over No. 6 Illinois.

Kentucky (13-7, 6-2 in the Southeastern Conference) made seven consecutive shots to end the first half and eight in a row to start the second in a 94-61 victory over South Carolina (11-8, 3-5) at Columbia, S.C. Kentucky shot 64% in beating South Carolina for the ninth consecutive time. Tayshaun Prince made 12 of 15 shots and scored 29 points for the Wildcats. . . . Jannero Pargo had a career-high 28 points for Arkansas (13-7, 4-4 in the SEC) in an 83-72 victory over Mississippi State (11-8, 2-6) at Fayetteville, Ark. Pargo made four free throws after a technical foul on Mississippi State Coach Rick Stansbury. . . . Aaron Harper scored on a fastbreak layup with a minute to play and then made two free throws in the final seconds to lead Mississippi (17-4, 5-3 in the SEC) to a 74-70 victory at Auburn (13-9, 3-6).
Massachusetts (10-10, 8-1 in the Atlantic 10) won its sixth in a row with a 85-59 victory over Fordham (11-10, 3-6) at Amherst, Mass. The Minutemen started the season 2-9. . . . Saint Louis (12-9, 4-4 in Conference USA) swept the regular-season series with Louisville (8-14, 4-5) for the first time since 1965 with a 75-51 victory at Louisville, Ky. The Cardinals lost at at Freedom Hall for the seventh time this season, one short of a school record. . . . Bowling Green (10-12, 6-5 in the Mid-American Conference) and Miami of Ohio (10-12, 6-5) played their second overtime game of the season and the third in their last five meetings, with the Falcons winning, 67-63, at Oxford, Ohio.
Mountain West Conference-leading Wyoming (15-4, 6-1) shot 70% in the second half of a 101-66 victory over San Diego State (11-8, 1-5) at Laramie, Wyo. It was Wyoming’s sixth consecutive victory and 13th in a row at home. . . . Colorado State (12-7, 3-3 in the Mountain West) beat Nevada Las Vegas (12-9, 3-3) for the first time in six games with an 80-55 victory at Fort Collins, Colo.
