Minor Quake Hits; No Injuries Reported

A small earthquake shook southern Connecticut, rattling some homes and alarming residents but causing no damage or injuries. Yale University geologist Jeffrey Park said the temblor measured from 2.5 to 2.8 in magnitude and was centered in Guilford.
Juliette Kahn of the state Office of Emergency Management said the quake’s magnitude was 1.8 and was centered in North Branford, just northwest of Guilford.
