LOUISVILLE, Ky. — A Croatian theologian has won the 2002 Grawemeyer Award in Religion for his book on how enemies can resolve their differences.
Miroslav Volf published the book “Exclusion and Embrace: A Theological Exploration of Identity, Otherness and Reconciliation” in 1996.
The $200,000 prize is presented annually by the Louisville Presbyterian Theological Seminary and the University of Louisville.
“He helps us to imagine new possibilities for living against violence, injustice and deception,” said seminary professor Susan Garrett.
