No Limits to Visnovsky’s Love

Lubomir Visnovsky spotted a tiny opening and made his move.
The King defenseman, seeing a two-day gap between a game against the San Jose Sharks at Staples Center last Saturday and a practice in El Segundo on Tuesday morning, took the time to fly home to Slovakia to get married.
His girlfriend of 21/2 years, Nina Nemcova, had been unable to get a visa to reenter the United States, and Visnovsky missed her so much that Coach Andy Murray said it was adversely affecting his play.
Last Saturday night, Visnovsky made a 15-hour flight through Paris, arriving Sunday in the Slovak capital of Bratislava. He and Nemcova, 22, were married Monday, then Visnovsky boarded a flight back to Los Angeles.
His bride is scheduled to join him tonight.
“I know she’s going to clean and cook for me,” he said, smiling. “She’ll have a bear hug for me after the game. I’ll be playing great.”

Murray would not say whether he’ll go with Felix Potvin or backup Jamie Storr in goal today against the Nashville Predators. Storr has made three consecutive starts and four in five games in place of the struggling Potvin.
“I’m further ahead just keeping the cards to myself,” Murray said, “because I think there is some doubt in [the Predators’] minds as to who would play, and we might as well have that doubt as opposed to letting them prepare for a certain goalie.”
