From Times Wire Reports
Powerball retailers began bracing for another rush of ticket buyers as the jackpot grew to an estimated $280 million.
Greenwich, Conn., will suspend sales for 24 hours because out-of-state ticket buyers were causing congested streets and long lines, retailers said.
The jackpot for Saturday’s drawing is the second-highest Powerball and third-highest U.S. lottery jackpot ever.
The biggest Powerball jackpot was $295.7 million won in 1998 by a group of factory workers in Ohio.
