Three Valencia High School teachers earned recognition by the University of California based on the assessment of former Valencia students now studying as freshmen in the university system.
Kay Kerby, Brent Shenton and Wendy Umekubo were named exceptional high school teachers in the university’s Teacher Recognition Program, which bases its decisions solely on commendations from incoming freshmen. The students praised the teachers for inspiring them to achieve academic and overall excellence.
The teachers each received a letter of congratulations.
