Vitale-Sansosti’s Hat Trick Lifts OCC to Victory

Geno Vitale-Sansosti scored all three goals to give Orange Coast a 3-2 victory over Cypress in an Orange Empire Conference men’s soccer game at Cypress.

Vitale-Sansosti scored the game-winner for Orange Coast (7-1-4, 3-0-1) in the 88th minute off an assist by Josh Miller.

In another conference game:

Santiago Canyon 3, Golden West 3--The visiting Hawks (5-3-2, 1-1-2) scored on their first two shots and led, 2-0, after six minutes.

Golden West (4-5-1, 1-2-1) tied the score with 12 minutes remaining on Karlin Ladera’s penalty kick.

In Orange Empire Conference women’s soccer:

Cypress 4, Orange Coast 1--Alie Nunez scored a goal in each half to lead visiting Cypress (14-0, 4-0).

Irvine Valley 1, Fullerton 0--Nichole Olson scored with eight minutes remaining on an assist from Nicole Williams to lift the host Lasers (6-5-1, 3-1).

Santa Ana 4, Riverside 3--Riverside scored two goals late in the second half to tie the score, 3-3, but Ana Medina scored her second goal of the game in the 87th minute to give Santa Ana the victory.
