7 TONIGHT VALENCIA HIGH
This ranks among the best of Orange County’s rivalries. Los Alamitos has an 11-9-1 advantage, and needs a victory to have a chance at the Sunset League title. The Griffins have three receivers with 24 receptions or more--Tony Holder (46 for 619 yards), Steve Shinen (28 for 472) and Brandon Tripp (24 for 433). Shinen has also intercepted seven passes. For Esperanza to be successful, its offensive line will have to perform in front of Temitope Sonuyi, the county’s leading rusher with 1,648 yards, and Ryan Sausedo, who is replacing injured quarterback Greg Farrell (knee).
