Overall school attendance will rise for the sixth consecutive year in the Conejo Valley Unified School District, officials said.
School officials predict the district will have 579 more students for the 2000-2001 school year, which begins in September. Currently, 20,541 students are enrolled.
Because of the increase of students, the district plans to build or add facilities to a number of schools. At least 10 schools will face construction on their campuses because of the extra students expected next year, according to district officials.
