* Burbank-based Dick Clark Productions Inc. reported fiscal third-quarter net income for the period ended March 31 of $5.7 million, or 56 cents a share, compared with $4.2 million, or 40 cents, a year ago. Revenue rose to $64.7 million from $58.3 million.

* Grill Concepts Inc., the Los Angeles-based operator of Daily Grill restaurants, reported first-quarter net income of $273,400, or 7 cents a share, compared with $262,200, or 6 cents, a year ago. Sales rose 15% to $13.5 million. Same-store sales rose 5%.

* Hot Topic Inc., an Industry-based specialty retailer of teen apparel, reported first-quarter net income of $2.4 million, or 23 cents per share, on sales of $44.8 million, compared with $635,000, or 7 cents, on sales of $28.3 million a year ago. The per-share amounts reflect a 2-for-1 stock split. Same-store sales rose 24.1%. The company opened 12 new stores in the quarter.
