The City Council is scheduled to review a report today on the causes and effects of seven beach closures in the city this year.
The report will provide such information as date of closure and reopening, beach or area closed, responsible agency and reason for closure and amount of sewage spilled.
Of the 20 beach closures in Orange County this year, seven have been in Dana Point.
The report, which will be presented to the council on a quarterly basis, should increase water quality awareness in Dana Point, City Manager John B. Bahorski said.
