Community officials are holding a town meeting at Imperial Middle School tonight, the first in a four-part series designed to educate parents on safety awareness and drug trends among youths.
Growing Up in La Habra, a free workshop for parents of children between the ages of 10 and 18, begins with a panel of representatives from the Police Department, school district and other community organizations and will run weekly on Tuesdays.
Meetings will address the dangers of drugs, rave parties and gangs.
There will be door prizes, refreshments and child care available.
Imperial Middle School is at 1450 Schoolwood Drive. The 90-minute community meetings start at 6:30 p.m. in the school’s multipurpose room. Information (714) 871-4281.
