In the championship of the Cerritos-Gahr tournament:
Troy 4, Saugus 1--Nikki Shepard hit a two-run home run in the top of the seventh to break a 1-1 tie for Troy (10-1).
Earlier, tournament MVP Lisa Jackson hit a two-run home run in Troy’s 2-0 semifinal victory over Torrance Bishop Montgomery.
In the Garden Grove tournament:
Santa Margarita 19, Estancia 0 (5, mercy)--Brittany Mynsberge hit a home run for Santa Margarita (7-1) in the first round.
La Habra 13, Estancia 2--Erin Murray of La Habra hit a three-run homer in the first inning to break open the game played at Lake School in Garden Grove.
In the Downey tournament:
Loara 1, Carson 0--Alicia Owen pitched a perfect game with eight strikeouts for Loara (9-1) in a consolation game. Owen also had a home run in the second inning of an earlier 12-0 victory over Paramount.
