Plane Makes Belly Landing

A single-engine plane carrying four people made a belly landing at Burbank Airport on Sunday after its landing gear failed to deploy, an airport spokeswoman said.
The Piper Comanche set down about 5:18 p.m. No one aboard was reported injured. The plane sustained moderate damage.
The rough landing comes a week after a Southwest Airlines 737 skidded off the east-west runway at Burbank Airport, careened through a fence and stopped just short of a gas station on Hollywood Way.
