The Los Angeles County registrar-recorder/county clerk’s office in Norwalk will open today, Monday and Tuesday to give absentee ballots to voters who will be unable to get to a polling place Tuesday. The office, at 12400 Imperial Highway, Room 3002, will be open from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. today. Monday hours are 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.; Tuesday hours are 7 a.m. to 8 p.m.
If voters cannot pick up a ballot in person, they can designate someone to do so. In such cases, voters must provide a written, signed statement requesting that a ballot be given to the representative, who must be named in the request.
The marked ballot must be returned by the voter or the representative to the Norwalk office or to any polling place in Los Angeles County by 8 p.m. Tuesday, election day.
