The new skate park and roller hockey facility being constructed off Alicia Parkway should open this weekend, said Ken Rosenfield, director of public works for the city.
The sports park was scheduled to open in February, but design changes and weather delays postponed the opening celebration several times. Rosenfield said the park will open as soon as it’s completed. A celebration will be held from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. July 1. The event will include skateboarding demonstrations, raffles, live music and vendors. Information: (949) 707-2600.
