Corrupt Judges

The state of Washington and all other states need more lawyers like Doug Schafer (“Risking It All on a Legal Crusade,” June 10). He paid dearly for his search for truth, integrity and justice. Washington and other states should urge judges like Grant Anderson to resign voluntarily and clear the bench of the cancer of bias, prejudice and corruption.
The privilege of confidentiality may be a worthwhile principle to protect the client and/or the attorney. But it should not be used as a shield to protect someone unworthy of dispensing justice to decent citizens and competent lawyers.
