The city has received nearly $3 million from the Orange County Transportation Authority to help fund its projects to improve the flow of traffic on Crown Valley Parkway and La Paz Road.
The OCTA distributed $60 million from the Federal Regional Surface Transportation Program to cities throughout the county.
Nearly $2 million of the grant will go to widen Crown Valley Parkway from Interstate 5 east to the border of the city.
