A 44-year-old Thousand Oaks woman died after her car rear-ended another car and struck the center divider Friday night on the Antelope Freeway in Newhall, the California Highway Patrol said.
The woman, whose name was not released, was transported to Henry Mayo Newhall Memorial Hospital in Valencia, where she died of her injuries.
The woman was northbound on the freeway in a Honda Accord about 7:30 p.m., just east of the Golden State Freeway, when she began swerving between lanes for unknown reasons, CHP Officer Frank Sansone said.
The Honda rear-ended a Chevrolet Geo, whose driver was uninjured, Sansone said.
