Re the Alaska Airlines Flight 261 crash: Another tragedy to be added to the many that have gone before. And we are told that the MD-83 has a solid safety record. It is a safe bet that there will be more crashes in the future.
Now I am reading that Airbus Industrie is developing an aircraft that will seat as many as 656 passengers, more than the capacity of a Boeing 747, several of which have crashed in the not-so-distant past. How irresponsible can you get? I hope that all airlines will say no to these monsters.
