* Re “Couple Accused of Torturing Girl, 12,” Dec. 9.
I think it is disgraceful that no one seemed to notice the awful plight of the little girl in Burbank who was [allegedly] starved and tortured by her parents.
Didn’t this little girl go to school and didn’t she get out of the house sometimes? Did the teachers and neighbors not see the bruises on her and how thin and malnourished she was?
If anyone is at all suspicious, they should call the police, child services, etc.
It just breaks my heart that this went on for so long before it was discovered.
