Beaten-down Lucent Technologies rose $2 to $18.69 on Tuesday partly on rumors that wireless phone giant Nokia (NOK) may make a takeover bid. Nokia fell 56 cents to $49.94. Neither Lucent nor Nokia would comment. Lucent’s market capitalization is $62 billion, so it would be a big fish to swallow even for Nokia, which has a market cap of $234 billion.
