Police Surround Store Where Robber May Be Hiding

A SWAT team continued to surround a Burlington Coat Factory in Cerritos late Friday night where a robber may have been holed up.
Authorities said the man tried to rob a cashier at about 8 p.m., but the employee dropped the cash drawer.
The gunman picked it up and ran to the back of the store, police said.
Customers were then evacuated from the store on 183rd Street.
Police said they did not think the robber had any hostages and they did not know if he had left the store with the customers or remained inside.
