Eight suspects in the fatal shooting of a 20-year-old Anaheim woman at a New Year’s Eve party in Placentia began a preliminary hearing Tuesday at the North Justice Center in Fullerton, and proceedings are scheduled to continue today.
Police said Judah Seelke and a friend were going to a party in the Atwood area and looking for a place to park when gang members, who mistook her for a rival, shot her.
Two of the suspects are from Placentia: Jose Deanda, 20, and Ronnie Cruz, 19. Four are from Anaheim: Johnny Trejo, 23; Edmundo Juarez, 22; Benito Trejo, 19; and Juan Figueroa, 21. Two other suspects were juveniles.
