Sun Hires Software Chief

Sun Microsystems Inc. named Patricia Sueltz, currently general manager of IBM Corp.’s Java software business, president of its software group. Sueltz succeeds Alan Baratz, who resigned last month to join investment firm Warburg Pincus & Co. Sueltz is a 20-year veteran of IBM.
