New President Named at Radiance Medical

Jeff Thiel has been named president and chief operating officer of Radiance Medical Systems Inc., an Irvine-based medical products company. Thiel, who most recently was the company’s executive vice president of operations, replaces Michael Henson, who will remain chairman and chief executive.
* Louie Goryoka has joined Horizon Medical Inc. in Santa Ana as vice president of quality assurance and regulatory affairs. Previously, he was vice president of quality assurance and regulatory affairs for Chad Therapeutics Inc. in Chatsworth. Goryoka was also director of quality assurance and regulatory affairs for Trimedyne Inc. and Respiratory Support Products, both based in Irvine.
* Robert Kreps has been named vice president of full-line sales for Toshiba America Medical Systems in Tustin. He had been senior director of full-line sales. Prior to joining Toshiba, he was Southeast regional manager for Stryker Medical Systems. Before that, Kreps was with General Electric.
* Irma Carel has been appointed senior vice president and chief financial officer of Dana Niguel Bank. Before joining the bank, she was with National Business Bank in Torrance. Carel, who started her career with Bank of America, has also served in various administrative capacities with Republic Bank, Mariners Bank, and Town and Country Bank.
