Law Practice to Close; 6 Lawyers Join L.A. Firm

Six of the nine attorneys with Ramsay & Johnson, an Irvine-based law firm specializing in insurance, have joined Berger Kahn, a Los Angeles-based law firm with more than 100 attorneys in six locations, including Irvine.
One of the departing attorneys is founding partner Janice Ramsay, who becomes a partner at Berger Kahn. Her partner, Judy Johnson, opted to start her own firm. Two other Ramsay & Johnson associates were offered positions but declined, a Berger Kahn official said.
Ramsay & Johnson, which was founded 15 years ago, will close its doors Thursday.
