Enterprise Zone Program to Be Discussed

Consultants, accountants and state and local officials are scheduled to meet in Long Beach on Wednesday to discuss issues concerning California’s program of offering tax breaks to lure businesses to economically depressed areas. Among the topics to be addressed will be changes in state law affecting the state’s 39 enterprise zones, new work force development tax breaks and tips on selling the program to businesses. The California Assn. of Enterprise Zones conference is scheduled to run through Friday at the Long Beach Convention Center. For more information, call (562) 570-3821.
