The City Council voted 4 to 1 to increase the number of nights nonprofit organizations can hold bingo from three to four. The dissenting vote came from Councilman Brian Donahue.
The Kingsmen, a nonprofit organization teaching music to high school and college students, had requested the increase more than a month ago. The group has said that they will donate $1,000 of the profits per week to Stanton charities.
