Villa Park Councilwoman Patricia Bortle is among those to be honored at the Central Orange County Alumnae Panhellenic’s 35th annual Athena benefit luncheon, scheduled for 10:30 a.m. Friday at the Turnip Rose in Orange. The event costs $40, and proceeds will be used to provide scholarships for young women.
Bortle, involved in several Orange County and Villa Park community organizations such as the Salvation Army and the Family Violence Council, is one of 23 nominees chosen for the Athena Award.
