A community forum on violence will be hosted Thursday by the Police Department and Buena Park High School.
In concurrence with the National Campaign Against Violence, the featured speaker will be Mary Vincent, who 21 years ago suffered a brutal and near-fatal attack. After years of living in fear and overcoming her physical and emotional scars, Vincent is now at the forefront of the campaign against violence.
The event, beginning at 7:30 p.m., is free, but students who attend must be accompanied by an adult. It takes place at the school’s Performing Arts Complex.
Information: (714) 992-8610.
