“When I was in St. Emilion in June, I drank a Spanish wine which was outstanding--a 1994 Dominio de Pingus Ribera del Duero. It’s made from the Tempranillo grape. I’ve had Tempranillo before and didn’t like it, but this tasted like a very voluptuous Napa Valley Cabernet. That’s what I liked about it. It was beautiful. Very rich. Great concentration. . . . I was blown away.”
