No. 1 Newport Harbor 6, No. 7 Corona del Mar 2--Ryan Cook and Joey Snelgrove each scored twice for Newport Harbor.

No. 3 Foothill 13, San Diego Coronado 10--Blake Seymour had six goals for the Knights. Thomas Hopkins had four for Coronado.

Foothill plays Long Beach Wilson at 4 today in the other semifinal game at Heritage Park.

Long Beach Wilson 9, Miramonte 5--The Bruins struggled with Miramonte, but finished with a strong fourth quarter to advance.

Fountain Valley 8, El Modena 4--Brandon Dotts scored four goals to lead host Fountain Valley (5-6), which will face Santa Ana Valley in today’s semifinals at Orange High.

In nonleague water polo:

Santa Margarita 15, Trabuco Hills 5--Sophomore Nick Nolan and junior Garrett Marquis each scored four goals to lead visiting Santa Margarita (10-6, 2-0).

In Serra League girls’ cross-country:

No. 4 Santa Margarita 26, No. 9 Mater Dei 30--Sophomore Jenny Sears won in a course-record time (17:59) to lead visiting Santa Margarita (2-0) at Fairview Park. Junior Lori Mann finished second in 18:01 for Mater Dei (1-1).
