ChromaVision Stock Surges on Sales News

ChromaVision Medical System Inc.’s stock rose nearly 17% Thursday after the company said two national health agencies agreed to purchase its automated cellular imaging system for cancer research.
Shares of the San Juan Capistrano maker of imaging systems rose $1.97 to $13.63 in Nasdaq trading.
The agencies--the National Institutes of Health and the National Cancer Institute’s basic sciences division--agreed to purchase the imaging system for an undisclosed amount, ChromaVision said.
