Giuliani Threatens Personal Art Suit
New York Mayor Rudolph W. Giuliani threatened to sue personally the Brooklyn Museum of Art over a controversial art show that includes a portrait of the Virgin Mary with a clump of elephant dung stuck to it. Appearing on a string of network talk shows, Giuliani also denied he was stoking the furor over the show to help win support for his likely U.S. Senate campaign next year. “I’m entitled to my personal views,” Giuliani told “Fox News Sunday,” referring to what would amount to the third lawsuit over the exhibit that opened Saturday to long lines at New York’s second-largest museum.
