I read with great interest of the Missouri Knights of the Ku Klux Klan’s pursuit of a promotional spot on National Public Radio to extol its work in “standing up for the rights and values of white Christian America since 1865” (Sept. 28). I hesitate to point out that, while this may meet the standards of protected speech under the 1st Amendment, it does not meet the standards required under truth-in-advertising laws.
