Oak Park 23, Carpinteria 16--The Eagles (7-3, 3-1) converted two third-quarter fumble recoveries into touchdowns for a come-from-behind victory at Carpinteria (6-4, 2-2).
The turnovers set up a one-yard touchdown by quarterback Nate Elder and a two-yard score by Eric Testan. Testan’s run gave the Eagles a 23-13 lead with 6:41 left in the third quarter.
Testan finished with 88 yards in 23 carries. He also caught two passes for 34 yards, including an 18-yard touchdown pass from Elder.
Elder completed 10 of 23 passes for 140 yards with three interceptions.
